About the Setting

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

As winter unfolds into spring, the mystical forests of Binsar turns into the canvas of the Divine. The red rhododendrons arrive as a reminder that there are cycles of blossoming under blue skies, the mighty Kumaoni ranges silently appear and disappear through the clouds, revealing its stillness through every passing moment. On the hiking trails, acquaint with what nature is ready to reveal to you. A variety of birds, rich flora and fauna, the distant growl of a leopard and if you are lucky the magnificent peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi amongst the mighty Himalayan range. This region has been the mecca of legends, for centuries gurus, writers, artists, philosophers and seekers have been attracted to this space. It is also said that close by is the Van Allen’s Belt that has an enormous geomagnetic field, endowed with the cosmic energy like that of UK’s Stonehenge and Peru’s Machu Pichu. Swami Vivekananda to Timothy Leary and Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Babaji, Lama Anagarika Govinda, Ram Das are the earlier explorers of the energy this space has to offer.
